27. 02. 2017

Car Navigation app from Sygic, which has more than 150 million users and worldwide coverage, today unveiled a new functionality that allows users to monitor fuel prices and subsequent costs in real-time.

The new Fuel Price function will now be available with Sygic’s class-leading Car Navigation app for MirrorLink 1.1., Jaguar and Land Rover InControl™ Apps and HondaLink App Launcher. It’s optimized to work seamlessly with Ford’s AppLink vehicle touchscreen via the automotive giant’s SYNC 3 technology, which will be on display at the Ford Booth in Hall 1 at the Mobile World Congress event.

Users will have access to live gas prices - provided by the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) - projected directly from the Car Navigation app from Sygic to the SYNC vehicle touchscreen, allowing users to keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

“The new Fuel Price function will enable users to find the cheapest next gas station. This makes our Car Navigation app to a money saver app. Because of the seamless integration of our app via connected technologies into the vehicle’s display, the user has all features and functions from the smartphone navigation app together with the user friendly in-vehicle display view and embedded handling,” says Peter Schubert, Automotive Director at Sygic.

Sygic apps already gained more than 150 million downloads and a worldwide coverage of more than 200 countries in over 40 languages. With the Car Navigation app from Sygic your phone connects to a variety of cars and connectivity standards in the automotive industry.
