Sygic released version 13.1 update and new navigation app for trucks

San Francisco, CA – The international leader in offline navigation for smartphones Sygic announces release of new version 13.1 for users with iOS and Android smartphones, today. Select regions for Android are on sale in eshop, for example Europe and North America are available with 20% discount. The iOS update is already available for several Sygic GPS Navigation apps; while others are waiting for review by Apple review team. Simultaneously, Sygic is launching new Sygic Truck Navigation application for Android smartphones and tablets.


Version 13.1 has all the features that Sygic GPS Navigation users wanted to get their hands (and fingers) on. Namely the new Drag & Drop feature that allows customers to edit routes simply and comfortably. To make an adjustment, tap on the route, hold finger a bit longer and drag and drop the route to change it.


Off-road feature tracks movement and helps the driver backtrack when he needs to get back on the road. „With every release we bring features that will make navigating with Sygic a better experience. Users want to get the most of their Sygic GPS Navigation app on their iPad or Android tablet. That’s why Sygic GPS Navigation version 13.1 features new Sidebar to make navigation more personal. Users can choose which additional information about their drive they want to see on the screen. There is a variety of practical options like – Traffic on the route, List of driving instructions, Eco driving, Speedometer, History, Favorites or Route overview.


The new Danger zone warnings feature in France ensures trips without speeding fines. And users in UK can now search for addresses more comfortably by entering exact postal code and a house numbers. 3D terrain was enhanced with greater detail and spoken street names were improved.


Sygic is launching Sygic Truck Navigation application for Android smartphones and tablets, too. Driving truck is easier and safer with features like truck attributes that allow truck drivers to avoid roads that are unsuitable for their vehicle or cargo. Drivers can plan their entire day with the multiple waypoints for loading and unloading and choose rest stops and fuel refills on truck parking and petrol stations suitable for large vehicles.


High quality Navteq maps stored on device are a guarantee for safe offline use. Moreover, Sygic Truck Navigation can be seamlessly integrated with any other trailer tracking application, so itineraries and instruction can be easily sent directly into the app. Sygic Truck navigation is available on Google Play.
