Sygic GPS Navigation beats Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja in Turkey App Store

Sygic has launched its turn-by-turn navigation app for Turkey with
stellar success. The app, available from iTunes App Store for USD 11.99, has
beaten App Store heavyweights like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja in the race for
number one spot on the Paid Apps Top Chart.
„We are very excited that Sygic Türkiye is doing so well, not just
getting to the top of the navigation category, but to the top of the whole App

Sygic is a premium turn-by-turn GPS navigation app for iPhone with on-board map
from TomTom. Sygic provides users with free map updates and boasts an intuitive
interface that makes interaction with the app a comfortable experience. Sygic
supports road incident sharing, provides alerts about speed cameras, speed
limits and features a visual driving aid provided by the lane assistant and
signposts. Advanced planning options and extended search possibilities are a
must. The app can be enhanced with in-app purchases: 3D Cities & Landscape
and City guides from premium providers and Wikipedia. Bonus features include
pedestrian navigation, stopwatch for outdoor activities, or sharing of
geo-tagged statuses on Facebook or Twitter and seeing friends on the map. Sygic
users can provide feedback and vote for new features directly from within the
app.
Sygic utilizes hardware accelerated 3D rendering, native iPhone and iPad keypad,
iPhone gestures and compass-assisted direction detection. It supports iPhone
4 Retina display and it is compatible with both iOS3 and iOS4 operating
systems, and the new iPad 2 dual-core A5 chip.
