Sygic Mobile Maps launches its turn-by-turn voice guided navigation software for Google’s Android OS phones for Europe incl. maps of 44 countries, North America incl. USA, Canada & Mexico, Australia & New Zealand. From now on, the apps can be bought directly on Sygic e-shop. The range of mobile phone platforms includes also other operating systems.
“We are very excited about being among the very few companies offering a navigation solution for Android platform globally at this moment. As far as we know, we are currently the only provider of on-board turn-by-turn navigation for Android OS devices via our e-shop in Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. This is in addition to Singapore, where we have recently partnered with three major mobile operators to launch Mobile Maps as part of a bundle with all new HTC Magic phones running Android.” says Anna Hurbanic, Sygic’s PR Manager
Sygic e-shop features Sygic Mobile Maps for Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile phones, as well as links to iTunes apps for the iPhone users. This way all Sygic apps can be found at one place and they can be purchased without regional limits. The decision to open the e-shop was firmed up by an intense customer feedback supporting this distribution model in order to make it simple and to decrease time to get the latest version. The approach of a download via PC was selected also because it brings the advantage of customization, settings and backup functions.
So if there’s ever been confusion where and how to buy Sygic turn-by-turn navigation app for mobile phones, now there is a place to solve all the worries. “Click on ‘Shop’ at Sygic.com and you’ll land on a page where selecting the right app for your phone is as easy as ABC… well, actually as 1–2–3 J – three steps will flawlessly guide you, starting with choosing the OS or directly your phone brand/ type, followed by selecting the region, up to secure on-line payment provided by RBS WorldPay System. Then you just follow the instructions received by e-mail, download the app to your PC and then to your device via Sygic Assistant or a memory card, activate the app and enjoy navigating!” comments Martin Kalis, Sygic’s Marketing Manager .
