While we may not be used to seeing apps that are priced at $85 on The Store, I feel this represents incredible value when compared with the cost of a separate and dedicated in-car GPS system. There is practically no loss of functionality compared to these devices, and the fact that you are taking it with you everywhere within your existing device and without the need for separate cords or cases is an obvious plus.

I think the application provides tremendous value and that you should seriously consider purchasing it if you are looking into GPS software for the iPhone. There is no need to wait for other solutions because if all your looking for is a great GPS program that will get you from point A to point B then you will be satisfied with Sygic.

Everything, from the user interface to the quality of the WhereIs maps over the Navigon’s Navteq ones all seem to end up in favour of the Sygic app.

Quite impressive! ... Bottom line, this is a very good app. Precise tracking, extensive list of locations and landmarks. Most importantly, with the help of the iPhone's screen, it is no harder to use than a dedicated GPS device, something which phone with integrated GPS need to address.

In summary, then I'd recommend Sygic Mobile Maps as one of the pieces of Sat Nav software you can get for your iPhone or in fact Android, Symbian, or Windows Mobile devices too!
