The Sygic GPS Navigation app, trusted by 200 million users worldwide, has been revealed as the Number 1 app in the navigation category of the Huawei AppStore, which will be launched across Europe soon.
The announcement was made at Huawei Eco-Connect Europe, the company’s biggest European event, with Sygic CEO Michal Stencl joining the announcement on the main stage. Huawei AppStore includes only the best apps in the world, and requires all content to be regularly updated and have a rating of four stars or more.
“This honor celebrates Sygic’s progression as leading navigation innovators and the company’s current standing as the frontrunners in global navigation”, said Stencl. “Thanks to the support and promotion by Huawei AppStore, Sygic is even closer to its mission to guiding each and every person in the world.”
Two Sygic apps, Sygic GPS Navigation and Fuelio, will feature in the new app store. The first, Sygic GPS Navigation, is top-ranked in its category. Available in more than 200 countries and over 40 languages, it is the world’s most advanced navigation app with a number of smart navigation features such as offline maps and an easy to use interface. The second, Fuelio, is a simple, easy to use Android application which saves car drivers money by tracking expenses such as mileage, auto service and fuel consumption.

Huawei AppStore is already one of the biggest and fastest growing in China, coming pre-loaded on all Huawei mobile phones. 2017 sees its expansion into Europe, Australasia, Asia and Africa, with the rest of the world due to gain access in 2018; creating a truly global Android store. Unlike other app stores, Huawei’s only stocks the best on the market; new apps are reviewed by Huawei’s app team and once these apps are established they must achieve and maintain a high rating.
