Improved drivers behaviour monitoring
Generating accurate over-speeding alerts with Sygic Professional Navigation
Sygic Truck Navigation is integrated with MiX Telematics’ MiX Rovi, a rugged Android-based driver terminal. Sygic APIs were used to create geofences with speed limits, helping MiX Telematics to perform advanced speed monitoring and generate accurate over-speeding alerts to improve the behavior of the customers’ fleet drivers.
“Working with Sygic means we can add the best-of-breed on-board navigation and geofence capabilities to the MiX Rovi, in addition to other functionality like Hours of Service (HOS), driver feedback and jobs and messaging,” Catherine Lewis, Executive Vice President Technology, MiX Telematics.
“Reliable product and exceptional support from the Sygic Business Solutions team is the most compelling reason why we would recommend Sygic Navigation,” Gavin Harvett, Head of Product Management, MiX Telematics.
Completed mobile app with truck routing
Addressing market trends with a complete telematics solution through a mobile app
Transics focuses on high-end fleet management systems for truck and transport companies delivering tracking telematics. Transics offers a broad variety of products from fixed, installed on board computers to mobile app solutions.
The industry sees the mobile part of the business becoming more and more important in recent years, so Transics looked for a leading Professional Navigation on the market to complete its mobile application with the truck-specific routing and GPS navigation function.
Sygic navigation is integrated with the Transics smartphone application to guide the driver through his entire assigned itinerary with navigation activated from Transics application at the push of a button.
“Sygic Professional Navigation software is up to date, it is dedicated for trucks with possibility to enter truck or cargo parameters and, needless to say, it is convenient, “Arie Van der Jagt, VP Region West, Transics, WABCO company.
To make it most convenient for the driver or fleet, Sygic Navigation is available for download from the Google Play Store or through Sygic sales office independently of the Transics solution.
80% of AIS customers choose Sygic
Helping to solve the last mile problem
Sygic navigation is available on all AIS terminals (scanners and PDAs). Thanks to the SDK integration with Sygic, after the driver receives an order he will automatically be guided to the next location with a simple touch of the finger on the address.
The value Sygic is adding with its navigation system is the capability to perform comprehensive complex truck routing in the same short time as with navigation systems for normal cars. “Sygic has managed to get it done (truck routing) in a very short time with a first-rate and modern user interface,” says Andreas Kirchheiner, managing director at AIS GmbH. "Sygic also provides the possibility to import entire itineraries with additional stops to the navigation application, so the driver doesn’t need to input the route for every new stop manually," adds Kirchheiner.
The first year after AIS integrated Sygic Navigation only around 10% of their customers purchased navigation software integrated with an AIS solution. Today almost 80% of AIS customers use navigation for trucks or for cars.
