Today, around 100 of Villart’s tractor units use Sygic Professional Navigation. The team says they’ve seen real improvements in the way they plan and execute routes. With real-time updates, they can better estimate arrival times, avoid unnecessary detours, and make better use of fuel.

“Since we started using Sygic, we’ve noticed improvements in several operational areas. The previous tool wasn’t as up to date, and you could feel the difference,” David Mauri, Operations Manager at Villart explains. They haven’t run a formal study on the impact — but when things run smoother, everyone notices.

“Drivers get the navigation right on their tablets. It works offline, starts up quickly, and is easy to use. That alone takes a lot of friction out of the day-to-day work,” Mauri adds.

New drivers in particular benefit from the system — especially when they’re still getting used to regular routes. The app helps them stay focused without feeling overwhelmed.
 

One System, One Way of Working

Rolling out the same system across the entire fleet has brought consistency. Everyone’s using the same setup, so it’s easier to train new hires and provide help when needed.

”Using a single tool allows us to work more uniformly. It’s made training and support a lot more straightforward.” Mauri says.
 

Built-In Support for ADR Transport

Villart also handles ADR cargo — hazardous materials that require special care and compliant routing. Sygic helps here too, automatically guiding drivers along routes that meet regulations.

That means less manual checking for dispatch, and safer journeys for everyone involved.
