Introduction

It is possible to customize navigation through the application settings and menu customization.
Please note the settings for 2D version are different to 3D, so they are contained in separate sections.

Application settings for 3D navigation

Navigation can be customized through the settings.ini file placed inside the SygicNavigation/Windows folder.
The settings.ini parameters are enlisted along with the section under which it belongs.

m_bAllowItineraryEdit 1 defines whether the itineraries can be edited by drivers. Use false=0 only when itineraries are imported by API functions
m_dGPSforwardTime 1 Special settings for Gps prediction in seconds, max 2.5 (Please use the default value, change it in case of latency of gps positioning only)
m_bHideSpcams 0 defines whether the Speedcam service should be available or not.
m_lInstructionDistance 5000 defines the distance in meters at which the instruction should be first spoken before meneuver
m_bLocalTraffic - defines the filtering for traffic mode.
If set to 1 only the currect GPS surrounding traffic events will be downloaded.
If set to 0 possibly all traffic events will be downloaded.
m_nLogisticMode -1 defines whether the Logistic mode (using truck attributing) will be enabled (value 1) or disabled (value 0).
m_bMapChange 0 Use these settings (true=1 or false=0) to show or hide "Map downloader" menu
m_bMySygic 1 Use these settings (true=1 or false=0) to show or hide "Map Sygic" menu in order to purchase or download additional products/components
m_bOffroadOn 1 enable the visualization function of backtrack navigation when is offroad
m_bPedestrian 1 defines whether the Pedestrain mode is also available within the Sygic navigation.
m_ePowerExternal PowerOptimized Power saving mode when plugged, the values are PowerSaver/PowerOptimized/PowerPerformance
m_ePowerBattery PowerOptimized Power saving mode when run on battery, the values are PowerSaver/PowerOptimized/PowerPerformance
m_dwTrafficDistance - The parameter which defines the radius of traffic events for download when m_bLocalTraffic=1.
It is the distance in meters defining circle from a current position.
m_bUseKalman 1 Special settings for GPS receiver (Please use the default value, any change of this value consult with support, please)
Section [HardwareSettings]
m_bSetBackgroundRun 0 Defines (value=1) whether navigation with voice instructions runs also when navigation is put to background, for example when driver makes a phone call
Section [RuntimeSettings]
m_bAppTopMost 1 The value 1 defines that no other application will appear above navigation.
You need to set it to 0 if you want other appplication (e.g. MP3 player) to be displayed above navigation window when necessary.
m_strBackButton defines the application (by package name) which will be started after pushing the back button
onBackBtn sets the behaviour of hardware back button of your device (minimize|disable|exit)
in case of exit option the behavior is refined by the m_bSetShowExitMsg setting
m_bHasBattery 1 if set to 1, battery sign will be displayed in status bar and battery management in menu will be enabled.
m_bSetHasClock 1 value=1 means the device does have internal clock source ( default), value=0 means compute clock from GPS GMT time and specified timezone
m_bHideTeaser 0 this setting hides (value=1) the teaser at the start of the application
m_arrShowTeaser 1.3 array of enabled teasers (RatingTeaser = 1, TrafficTeaser = 2, ScreenSaverTeaser = 3, LastDestinationTeaser = 4, LowFuelTeaser = 5)

m_strDrvDevice Default\\Device.dll Use this setting to change the default device identifier. Please don´t change this value without consulting Sygic
m_bSetKeybListAsk 1 1 defines that keyboard selection dialog appears at the initial start of Sygic navigation,
or 0 means it will be silently preset by the parameter m_lSetKeybList.
m_strSetKeybTypeRoman QWERTY selects the keyboard variant for the Roman keyboard type.
The available values are: QWERTY, QWERTZ or AZERTY
m_bNoDialogOnStart 0 Value 1 means that no interrogating questions appear at start, like activation when in trial, safety message, etc.
m_lProcessorUsage 0 the value in the range 0-90, which defines the percentage restriction of maximally available frame-per-second (FPS).
This way it is possible to spare processor performance a the expense of less smooth visualisation during navigation.
m_strProductName The string defines the product name, which appears in About dialog.
m_nScreenSaver -1 defines Screen saver behavior on highways, possible values are -1 (Always Ask, default), 0 (Off), 1 (On)
m_dwScreenSaverTimeout 10000 defines screen saver timeout in miliseconds
m_strSetContentPath /../../../../Maps/World defines the relative path where the navigation license folder is located.
By default it should be /../Maps.
m_bSetInternet 1 The value 1 defines that the Sygic services requiring internet will be enabled (e.g. traffic, weather).
The value 0 means that all internet connected servises will be disabled.
m_strSetLanguage autodetect defines the initially set language.
E.g. english.lang defines british english. Alternativelly it is possible to set autodetect
m_bSetLanguageAsk 1 1 defines that language selection dialog appears at the initial start of Sygic navigation,
or 0 means it will be silently preset by the parameter m_strSetLanguage.
m_lSetKeybList 1 the value defines initially set keyboard.
The available values are: 1=ROMAN 2=CYRILLIC 3=GREEK 4=ARABIC 5=HEBREW 6=THAI 7=JAPANESE 8=CHINESE 9=KOREAN
m_strSetMapPath /../../../../Maps/World defines the relative path where the navigation Maps folder is located.
By default it should be: /../Maps.
m_bSetOnlineAsk 1 defines whether at the initial start of Sygic navigation a user will be prompted to enable or disable internet connectivity. The value 0 means the internet connectivity will be silently preset by the parameter m_bSetInternet.
m_bSetShowEula 1 If 1 it shows EULA info with each application start. 0 means EULA is disabled. Btw, the EULA is still accessible through Settings -> About dialog.
m_bSetShowExitMsg 1 value=1 defines the exit message is shown with exit
m_bSetShowSafetyMsg 1 If 1 it shows safety message with each application start. 0 means this messaging is disabled.
m_bSetShowUserDetail 0 This setting hides email registration form
m_strSetResourcePath /../../../../Res defines the relative path where the navigation Res folder is located.
By default it should be: /../Res.
m_strSetTimezone +01:00_a defines the timezone in the form like "+hh:mm_x"
m_strSetVoice autodetect defines the initially set voice.
Non-TTS voice are set with a language name like "german"
TTS voice can be set like "TTS American English,Dave". For autodetection set "autodetect"
m_bSetVoiceAsk 1 1 defines that voice selection dialog appears at the initial start of Sygic navigation,
or 0 means it will be silently preset by the parameter m_strSetVoice.
m_bSetUnitAsk 1 1 defines that measure unit selection dialog (e.g. kilometers or miles) appears at the initial start of Sygic navigation,
or 0 means it will be silently preset by the parameter m_strSetUnit.
m_bTravelbook 1 defines whether the Travlebook function will be enabled (value 1) or disabled (value 0).
Section [UnitSettings]
m_eClockFormat ClockEurope select clock format type, possible values are Europe (UnitSettings::ClockEurope), U.K. (UnitSettings::ClockUk) or U.S. (UnitSettings::ClockUs)
m_eDistanceUnits UnitsKilometers select distance unit metrics, possible values are kilometers (UnitSettings::UnitsKilometers), yards (UnitSettings::UnitsMilesYards) or feet (UnitSettings::UnitsMilesFeets)
m_eGPSUnits GpsDegrees select gps unit metrics, possible values are degrees (UnitSettings::GpsDegrees), or minutes/seconds (UnitSettings::GpsMinutes)
m_eTemperatureUnits TempCelsius select temperature unit metrics, possible values are celsius (UnitSettings::TempCelsius), or fahrenheits (UnitSettings::TempFarenheit)
Section [DisplaySettings]
m_bAutoZoom 1 defines the on/off option for auto zooming during navigation
m_eColorScheme ColorSchemeAutomatic defines the option for color scheme, possible values are: DisplaySettings::ColorSchemeDay, DisplaySettings::ColorSchemeNight, or DisplaySettings::ColorSchemeAutomatic
m_bDataCounter 1 defines the show/hide option for data counter
m_bFullscreen 0 defines the show/hide option for the full screen (reserved)
m_bFriends 1 defines the show/hide option for friends/workmates component
m_bJunctionView 1 defines the show/hide option for junction view
m_eLaneAssist LaneAssistEnhanced defines the option for displaying lane assist, possible values are: DisplaySettings::LaneAssistOff, DisplaySettings::LaneAssistMinimized, DisplaySettings::LaneAssistEnhanced
m_eMapView MapView3D defines the option for displaying map view, possible values are: DisplaySettings::MapView2D or DisplaySettings::MapView3D
m_nNextStreet 950 defines the distance in meters at which next street information is displayed
m_nNextStreetFinish 100 defines the distance in meters at which next street information is cleared
m_bOffRoad 1 defines the show/hide option for the offroad indication
m_bRadars 1 defines the show/hide option for radars display
m_bRailway 1 defines the show/hide option for railway crossing display
m_eSignPostInfo SignPostFull defines the option for displaying sign post information, possible values are: DisplaySettings::SignPostOff, DisplaySettings::SignPostMinimized, DisplaySettings::SignPostFull
m_bSpeedLimits 1 defines the show/hide option for speed limit display

m_dwMaxSpeed 1440 defines the vehicle maximal speed limit. The value is specified in km/h x 16 (for example 90km/h=1440). For mph values it is required to convert into km/h
m_bUseTruckAtt 1 the value=1 allows use of truck attributes (In truck navigation this value is allowed by default)

m_ETollcostVehicleSettings Car defines the option for the vehile type with respct to toll cost rules, possible values are: PlanningSettings::Truck, PlanningSettings::Car, PlanningSettings::Van

Menu customization for 3D navigation

Sygic supports menu control adaptations through the configuration file menu.ini.
The items of the default menu (the menu the original navigation comes with) may be hidden or shown according to the needs of the project.
Please note that a custom menu definition support is a paid customization.

Application settings for 2D navigation

Navigation can be customized through the settings.ini file placed inside the Drive/ folder.
The settings.ini parameters are enlisted along with the section under which it belongs.

Parameter Description
title This defines the title of the Drive application
It appears in the Drive's top left corner.
Default value is Sygic FLEET
fps This defines the framerate of displayed navigation. Adjust this to speed of the processor and your requirements
Default value is 5.0
cpu This defines CPU processing quality.
Possible values are:
- 1-low
- 2-better
- 3-very good
- 4-best
Default value is 2
swVersion Number of current Version of Sygic FLEET
splash This defines name of subfolder in folder \skin\others, which contains custom splash screen files.
splashBgr This defines hexadecimal value for splash screen background color. E.g. use splashBgr=#000000 for black background color.
Default value is #000000
CenterStretch (Only Android) This stretches center image of splash screen to fit in the size of screen.
Possible values are:
- true-center image of splash screen is stretched to fit in the size of screen
- false-center image of splash screen is drawn on center without stretching
Default value is set by system automatically.
CenterMove This moves center image of splash screen to different position
Possible values are:
- TL-top left
- TR-top right
- BL-bottom left
- BR-bottom right
- L-left
- T-top
- R-right
- B-bottom
- C-no moving
Default value is C
DefaultBranding (Only Android) Defines whether Sygic logo is shown in title of Main menu and on Browse map or not.
Possible values are:
- true-some Sygic logo is shown in title of Main menu and on Browse map
- false-Sygic logo isn't shown
Default value is true.
cache Defines amount of cache memory per heap in kiloBytes.
This value must be greater than 128kB.
Default value is set by system automatically.
topMost This defines, if the application window can be overlaid by another windows.
Possible values are:
- true-no other application will appear above navigation
- false-other applications (e.g. MP3 player) can be displayed above navigation window
Default value is true
multipleInstances Allows or denies start of multiple instances of Drive application.
Possible values are:
- true-multiple instances of Drive are allowed
- false-multiple instances of Drive are denied
Default value is false.
Driver Relative path to Driver.dll.
Driver.dll allows customization of some system dependent functions of navigation (e.g. backlight, battery status, com port handling and more.)
Default value is Default\Driver.dll
Device Relative path to Device.dll
Default value is Default\Driver.dll
com COM port settings for GPS receiver used by first run of application. Once COM port is set during the first run, this setting will be used and stored for later use.
Use force values (e.g. COM1:,9600,1) or auto detect to show auto detection dialog.
Default value is COM1:,9600
HardwareChange (Only Android|Linux) Defines the possibility of change of GPS settings.
Possible values are:
- true-change of GPS settings is allowed from dialog GPS status
- false-change of GPS settings is not allowed from dialog GPS status. (Usually, GPS Status icon is also removed by entry in Menu.ini)
Default value is true.
antialias Switch on antialiasing for smoother graphic or disable for slower processors.
Possible values are:
- true-enabled
- false-disabled
Default value is false
gradient Gradient in the 3D map view may significantly slow down the navigation on devices with high pixel resolution and with slow processors.
Possible values are:
- true-enabled
- false-disabled
Default value is true
poiVisible This defines the visibility of POI categories.
Possible values are:
- true-visible
- false-not visible
Default value is true
firstInfo (Only Android) Defines whether the information about system features used by navigation is displayed or not
Possible values are:
- true-information about system features used by navigation is displayed
- false-information about system features used by navigation is not displayed
Default value is true.
cityModel This enables or disables drawing of 2D city maps
Possible values are:
- true-enabled
- false-disabled
Default value is true
PoiSearchRadius This defines the range in meters in which to search for POIs
Possible values are from 30000 to 1000000
Default value is 30000
PrioritizeAPI Set whether are allowed API functions calls in time of route computing or not. E.g. In a complicated route computing you can call BringAppToBackground.
Possible values are:
- true-allow API calls in time of route computing
- false-deny API calls in time of route computing
Default value is false.
ExclusiveCompute Defines whether Route Computing occupies all or most of processor time at the expense of other applications. It is useful for slow devices.
Possible values are:
- true-ExclusiveCompute is on
- false-ExclusiveCompute is off
Default value is true.
RouteParameter This defines the parameter to speed up route computing and reduce memory usage on slow machines.
Possible values are from 100-no speedup to 1-max speedup
As the speedup is higher, the quality of computed route is lower.
Default value is 100
UrbanPenalizeTruck Penalizes route computing for trucks on city roads that are not highways, by given percentage
Possible values are from 0 to 1000. (Recommended value is 150)
Default value is 0
CrossingPenalizeTruck Penalizes crossings in route computing for trucks, by given percentage.
Possible values are from 0 to 1000(Recommended value is 1000)
Default value is 0
CrossingPenalize Penalizes crossings in route computing for passenger cars, by given percentage.
Possible values are from 0 to 1000(Recommended value is 500)
Default value is 0
VisiblePointReachDistance This sets the behaviour of waypoints. The waypoint is marked as visited in this radius.
Default value is 30
InvisiblePointReachDistance This sets the behaviour of waypoints. The waypoint is marked as visited in this radius.
Default value is 30
SearchOnlyCustomPOI Switch for searching of built-in POIs.
Possible values are:
- true-disable searching of built-in POIs
- false-enable searching of built-in POIs
Default value is true.
ComputeUnpavedRoads This defines whether unpaved roads are considered as tarmac roads or not.
Parameter for 4X4 vehicles
Possible values are:
- true-unpaved roads are considered the same way as tarmac roads
- false-unpaved roads aren't considered the same way as tarmac roads
Default value is false
AllowClosedRoads Route computing allow or deny entering in closed roads, if a waypoint is in there.
Possible values are:
- true-entering in closed roads is allowed
- false-entering in closed roads is denied
Default value is false.
NotComputeFerries This defines whether the route computing includes ferries or not.
When set to true, it speeds up route computing when navigating in coastal areas, where ferry is not required.
Possible values are:
- true-ferries are not computed
- false-ferries are computed
Default value is false.
ShowCustomBitmapInNaviWindow Defines whether custom images are shown in navigation window.
Possible values are:
- true-custom image is shown in navigation window
- false-custom image isn't shown in navigation window
Default value is true.
ShowRouteAhead Defines how much of approximated route ahead is shown in navi screen. It is measured in meters.
Default value is 1500.
ShowPassedRoute Defines whether passed route is shown in different color or not. Also here can be defined the color of passed route.
Possible values are:
- show-show passed route in different color
- hide-show passed route in same color as route ahead
- #AABBGGRR-color of the passed route (Alpha,Blue,Green,Red)
Default value is show.
UseLastValidPos Defines whether, if isn't any valid position, use last valid position or ask what to do.
Possible values are:
- true-use last valid position
- false-ask user for option
Default value is false.
UseTruckSpeedWarning Defines whether the speed warning is used when truck speed limit is exceeded or not.
Possible values are:
