An expert jury nominated Sygic among the top 10 IT & telco employers for 2023 in the Slovak market. The most prestigious annual ranking of companies in eleven different industries Topemployer is driven by a job portal Profesia.sk. Through online voting, both the general public and internal employees identify the most attractive benefits within the industry, as well as those favored within the nominated company.

The story of Sygic began in 2004 when Michal Štencl, Martin Kališ, and Peter Pecho founded a company focused on developing GPS navigation. It has since evolved from a small Slovak business to a global player providing solutions and services across various industries, including automotive, truck transport, goods delivery, emergency services, and insurance. Today, the number of users of Sygic products exceeds 200 million.

With a team of 200 employees, Sygic is renowned for its agile approach and fostering a learning culture that encourages creativity and flexibility. It is synonymous with tireless technological and product innovations, such as the Head-Up Display, Dashcam, and Real-View navigation in augmented reality, which Sygic introduced as the first player in the global navigation industry.

Martin Strigač, Sygic's CEO, emphasizes the importance of clear communication of the agile strategy in attracting high-quality, enthusiastic individuals who align with the company's vision. He states, "For Sygic, people have always come first because without their support, no innovation can be achieved. I am very proud of our open culture and working environment, which is also valued by our employees."

The Topemployer 2023 voting results indicate that aspects deemed most relevant by the external public received the highest ranking among Sygic's internal team. The top benefit for internal employees is flexible working hours (46%), followed by Home-office (38.8%) and extra holidays (33.5%). The most attractive aspects of Sygic's culture are its people and team (69.2%), pleasant working environment (47.5%), and a strong brand (34.6%).

The majority shareholder of Sygic is W. A. G. Payment solutions (known as Eurowag), which is, in Europe, one of the fastest-growing integrated payments and mobility platforms.
